Transforming Power Hungry AI Data Centers into Flexible Grid Assets
We are witnessing, in real time, a hockey stick in energy demand and unconstrained costs associated with the massive deployment of AI and the data centers to scale it. Distributed Energy Resources (DERs), microgrids and the software that integrates them with utility grid systems to optimize utility services will play a critical role in reducing PEU and enabling ancillary grid services. By leveraging business intelligence and considering data sets from weather, energy prices, and production costs, C&I - data centers, heavy industry, universities, hospitals, airports - can deploy immediate strategies to contain their energy OPEX, maximizing profits.
In addition, this session brings the perspective of an energy resilience and independence-focused global corporation. LG is a long-time player in the built environment, having its initial robust presence in the residential home with its home appliances and entertainment centers. It also addresses big energy challenges faced by data centers, heavy industry and manufacturing plants and the utilities that provide energy to these commercial users. Battery storage, commercial-grade heat pumps, customized HVAC systems, EVSEs and software that brings energy operational efficiency across these systems in the form of microgrid management, make the LG energy suite a unique value proposition.
This panel will look at next-generation systems in energy data integration and analytics, highlighting case studies and best practices. We will delve into the strategies powered by AI data engines that bring visibility for action around DERs to utilities and their customers.
This session will explore:
- The challenges faced by utilities and their commercial high energy intensity partners: The disconnect between behind-the-meter DERS and microgrids, and how software can resolve the issue
- How microgrids and DERs are prospective solutions: Methodologies for utilities to identify solution opportunities and how to best assess whether microgrids and DERs are the best solution.
- How the highest efficiency, profitability and strategic business intelligence for the customer is brought forward by a unique combination of hardware and AI-powered software solutions: The value of data and how it can be best utilized with the latest AI systems.
Join us for an engaging and informative session that will provide valuable insights into the future of energy management through the lens of data analytics. This panel is ideal for energy professionals, data scientists, and anyone interested in the intersection of technology and energy efficiency.
