Southwest Gas’ Experience with the Intelis Gas Meter
With the rollout of the Intelis 250 Gas Meter, many utilities are adapting ultrasonic technology, especially among residential and small commercial premises. The small meter packs a large punch with features such as compact size, light-weight, a built in shut-off valve and precision flow measurement. Southwest Gas introduced the Intelis 250 in 2021, with a coordinated and joint effort among its operations centers, engineering, information technology and stakeholders and now have more than 10,000 meters installed, with some areas having a full buy-in to replace the standard AC 250.
With the latest Intelis 425 Gas Meter, we are again meeting with stakeholders and field staff that have firsthand experience and knowledge when it comes to setting meters. Come join us as we share our experience with and plans for the Intelis 250 and 425 Gas Meters.
