Itron Promotes Chris Ware to Senior Vice President, General Counsel and Corporate Secretary
Chris Ware has been promoted to senior vice president, general counsel and corporate secretary, effective immediately.
Chris joined Itron in March 2021 and was promoted a year later to vice president, legal and corporate secretary. He has more than 25 years of experience as a senior legal advisor and business executive. Prior to joining Itron, Chris held several global legal positions with Johnson Controls Inc. and served as general manager of JCI Ducted System Parts. Before his corporate experience, Chris gained significant legal experience in top-tier law firms and with the United States Department of Justice.
“Chris has steadily and successfully taken on more responsibilities in providing legal counsel and strengthening business partnerships across Itron,” said Tom Deitrich, president and CEO of Itron. “Itron continues to benefit from his depth of knowledge and expertise as he leads Itron’s corporate governance, business legal solutions and risk management efforts.”
Chris received his law degree from the University of Michigan Law School. He also holds a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from University of Wisconsin-La Crosse. Chris has served as a board member for Big Brothers, Big Sisters, the Wisconsin Housing and Economic Development Authority and Alverno College. He is a former president of the Wisconsin Association of African American Lawyers.
