Communications Module Utility (CMU)

A grid management software tool that, in conjunction with a Field Service Unit (FSU), reads meter data from Itron Networked Solutions-enabled meters and uploads the meter read data to Advanced Metering Manager (AMM). The application can be used to read meters loaded into AMM—but never registered on the network—or meters that are unreachable on the Itron Networked Solutions mesh network.
