Rafael Marcano

Rafael Marcano has more than 20 years of experience within manufacturing and supply chain operations where he developed and implemented global footprint and manufacturing strategies. He joined Itron in July 2020 as senior vice president of global supply chain operations. In November 2021, he assumed the role of senior vice president of global operations, overseeing Itron’s global supply chain, quality and sustainability functions. In this role, Rafael is responsible for the procurement, production, quality and logistics of all hardware products as well as the development of supply chain strategies and plans in support of Itron’s global business. He also oversees Itron’s sustainability strategy in coordination with Itron’s environmental, health and safety team.<br /><br />Previously, Rafael worked as the vice president of operations for TE Connectivity, where he was responsible for global operations, supply chain, sourcing, quality and new product introduction. Prior to that, he oversaw operations and manufacturing for both LGE and Sargent Controls & Aerospace, Celestica Aerospace Technology Corporation and Motorola.<br /><br />Rafael received a Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering from Boston University.
