Jackie Merrick

After spending two summers interning with Dominon Energy, Jackie Merrick started full time in 2013 after graduating from Virginia Tech with a degree in Industrial & Systems Engineering. She spent three years as a Distribution Operator, learning all aspects of the electric system before becoming a Distribution Planning Engineer in 2016. In 2018, Jackie moved into our System Reliability group supporting the launch of Dominion Energy’s Grid Transformation Plan. In 2019, she moved into an Engineering role supporting the Distribution SCADA system and building the foundation FLISR with an upgrade to their operational model. In 2023, she stepped in a supervisor role in Grid Resiliency, where she supported four programs in their Grid Transformation Plan, including Mainfeeder Hardening and Voltage Optimization.
