Stephen Johnson

Stephen Johnson is currently Senior Business Development Manager at Itron, focusing on Itron Embedded Sensing applications in smart grid systems. Itron Embedded Sensing combines sensing and measurement technologies with collaborative networking techniques to transform energy assets into transactive energy nodes. Example assets include load control devices, thermostats, EV charging stations, solar inverters, and home energy management systems. Stephen served as the ZigBee Alliance Marketing Chair for Smart Energy from July 2009 through December 2012.<br /><br />Stephen has been with Itron since 2002, and currently resides in Spokane, WA. Throughout his tenure at Itron, Stephen has focused on advanced electricity metering applications and data collection systems. Prior to joining Itron, Stephen spent seven years working in precision agriculture, designing and marketing solutions that leverage site-specific data to provide operational efficiency and increased quality to agriculture cooperatives and crop consultants. Stephen obtained a B.S. and M.S. from Oklahoma State University.
