Jon Seubert

Jon Seubert has 17 years of metering experience at Avista Utilities. He is a Principal Metering Automation Engineer with Avista where he has led the efforts for multiple AMI projects. Within the metering industry Jon has expertise with OpenWay RIVA, OpenWay RFLan, Fixed Network, MV90, and Aclara TWACS. Jon has actively participated in all phases of the above mentioned platforms from the RFP phase to system operations.<br /><br />Previous to working in the Utility industry Jon began his career at a small startup alongside the founders of Micron Technology where he worked with Dell, Apple, Cisco, and other large electronics companies. In 2001 Jon joined another startup venture, World Wide Packets, a last mile network equipment manufacturer. Jon joined Avista Utilities in 2007 working on last mile meter network communications.<br /><br />Jon is a licensed engineer with over 25 years of experience in hardware, software QA, design, manufacturing assembly and test. In his free time he enjoys camping, hiking, and ATV riding in the rugged Idaho backcountry. He is married with two grown children. A fun fact: I delivered newspapers at 5am in the morning in the 6th grade and collected payment from customers by going door to door.
