Senior Forecast Consultant

Mr. Andy Sukenik is a Senior Consultant with Itron’s Forecasting Division. Since joining Itron in 2007, Mr. Sukenik has worked on a variety of forecasting projects, including short-term forecast models to support system operations, medium and long-term forecasts to support budget and capacity planning initiatives, and end-use model development. Examples of his forecasting work include, short-term modeling for the AEMO, Basin Electric, and Centrica, medium and long-term forecasts for CPS Energy, Dominion, Oncor, PacifiCorp, PNGC Power, SaskPower, and the WECC, Load Forecast consultation for American Electric Power, California Energy Commission (CEC), ESKOM, LADWP, PJM, and Xcel Energy. Mr. Sukenik has performed Load Research implementations for CLECO, Omaha Public Power, Snohomish PUD, and the United Illuminating Company. <br /><br />Mr. Sukenik conducts several of Itron's Brown Bag Seminars and training sessions. His experience with both short-term and long-term forecasting, statistical analysis, and database applications enable him to identify and communicate practical solutions to complicated forecasting problems.<br /><br />Prior to joining Itron, Mr. Sukenik worked in the utility industry for several years. He has worked for the FirstEnergy Corporation specializing in short-term modeling and daily energy and revenue tracking. Mr. Sukenik also spent time at San Diego Gas & Electric with a focus on end-use models for both the residential and commercial classes. <br /><br />Mr. Sukenik received a B.S. in Economics from Carnegie Mellon University.
