Tony Field

Tony is a seasoned smart metering and smart grid expert with over 25 years’ experience in various roles including Manufacturing Engineering, Product Management, Marketing Management, and Strategic Standardization. Working for Itron as Director of Strategic Industry Standards, Tony leads a team of standardization professionals and subject matter experts, to deliver world class technical specifications that provide interoperability solutions for utilities and manufacturers. Tony is a well-known and respected subject matter expert and thought leader in the area of application layer standards with a particular focus on DLMS/COSEM. Tony has served as Chairman of the Board of Directors for the DLMS User Association since 2016 and holds several other technical and leadership positions within various standards development organizations, trade associations and industry groups internationally.
