Meet the People of Itron Who Are Creating a More Resourceful World

July 23, 2026

We are halfway through 2026, and it’s already been an eventful year. From supporting New Zealand’s largest smart water meter upgrade to helping modernize water management in Thane, India, and strengthening reliability and wildfire resilience in California, we continue to advance our mission to create a more resourceful world.

These efforts wouldn’t be possible without our people. At Itron, we believe resourcefulness begins by fostering a workplace where every employee feels valued, supported and welcomed as they are. When people have the opportunity to grow and do their best work, they bring new ideas, share expertise and work together to help solve the challenges our customers face every day.

It’s encouraging to see our commitment recognized with several recent workplace awards, including:

Newsweek: America’s Greatest Workplace 2026

Newsweek: America’s Greatest Workplaces for Culture, Belonging & Community 2026

Forbes: Best Midsize Employers 2026

Time: Best Employers 2026

Awards only tell part of the story. Here’s what a few of our employees have to say about their experience at Itron.

“Every day at Itron is a chance to learn something new and make meaningful progress. I enjoy tackling challenges and continually expanding my technical skills and am motivated knowing that my work contributes to a larger purpose.”
- Boglarka T., cloud infrastructure engineer

“With more than 20 years of work experience, I can confidently say that Itron has the best culture I’ve ever been part of. The environment is family-oriented and the people are always willing to help, even when something falls outside their direct responsibilities.”
- Lewis T., information security associate

“At the Indonesia office, we have several cultural celebrations. One example is our “pizza and coffee days” to celebrate Batik Day. My favorite event is the iLYMPIC. The company hosts competitions across several sports, including mini football, badminton, table tennis, basketball, and many more. At the end of the event, which is on Indonesia’s Independence Day, we celebrate with mini games and an awards ceremony for the winners. What makes it special is that people from every department come together to celebrate our national special day.”
- Vinifa W., material planner and buyer

“Itron has played a big role in my growth over the years. I’ve had the chance to take on new challenges, step into leadership roles and work on projects that stretched my skills. I’ve worked with a wide range of technologies and have been lucky to have managers and teammates who encourage me, trust me and push me in the right ways. With the support, opportunities and room to grow, I’ve been able to build a career here that I’m truly proud of.”
- Brent B., senior manager, product development

Building a strong workplace is an ongoing effort. Our ability to help utilities and cities address complex energy and water challenges starts with our people, and we’ll continue investing in them as we work to create a more resourceful world.
