The Solution Marketplace officially launched in 2022 with 25 solutions. Now, it has grown to include nearly 40 solutions from a diverse range of partners. Among these partnerships, one standout collaboration is with NET2GRID and its NET2GRID EnergyAI technology combined with Itron’s DataHub, which offers a centralized, scalable and highly integrated utility data management platform that serves as a system of record for all applications and third parties.
Utility customers face challenges in tracking and managing energy usage, particularly with new technologies around Distributed Energy Resources (DER). NET2GRID, an AI-powered, SaaS company that analyzes residential energy data to deliver detailed household energy profiles and insights, collaborated with Itron to address these issues. By integrating Itron’s DataHub with NET2GRID EnergyAI technology, the collaboration enables utilities to offer real-time electric vehicle (EV) detection that can be used for Virtual Power Plants (VPP) and Distributed Energy Resources Management (DERM) services. NET2GRID’s solution includes the ability to detect level 1 and 2 type EV charging events and enables usage shifts to off-peak hours with EV charging event alerts. The solution helps utilities enhance customer engagement via DER energy event notifications, promotes energy efficiency through EV charging session optimization and delivers significant time and cost savings for grid planners and operators.
