David Ganger

David is a Sr. Product Manager in Itron based out of Denver, CO, responsible for advancing Itron’s Distributed Intelligence (DI) grid management portfolio and focused on bringing value to utilities through meter-based intelligence. Prior to Itron, David worked with Eaton where he was the regional technology manager in Eaton’s corporate innovation space and led a group responsible for a portfolio of innovation programs dedicated to energy management technologies that promote efficiency, resiliency, and sustainability in applications ranging from grid management to behind-the-meter DER management. Prior to this, David worked in Schneider Electric consulting on the design of systems within utility- and site-level projects. He also founded a technology startup which serviced the energy sector and established a consulting company focused on transforming innovative ideas into prototypes. David received his B.S., M.S., and Ph.D. from Arizona State University in Electrical Engineering, with a focus on time-series forecasting and predictive controls within power systems applications.
