Solar Battery Access Point

Itron's Solar Battery Access Point (SBAP) is a solar-powered network device that provides cost-effective and reliable connectivity in areas where traditional mesh networks are not available. It is designed to last up to 20 years in the field and provides a lower total cost of ownership (TCO) for gas-only and/or water-only AMI deployments by eliminating the need for overhead infrastructure to mount and power network devices. The SBAP leverages Itron’s Extended FAN Connectivity+ (EFC+) network technology to deliver high-performance battery mesh connectivity for up to 50 gas/water endpoints while optimizing network design and minimizing cellular take-out points.
